Fed: ACT overtakes WA economy, CCI raises forecast

The West Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has lifted its growth forecast
for the state's economy.

The chamber now expects WA's economic growth to hit three per cent this financial year
.. up from one per cent forecast late last year .. and will keep rising to six per cent
in 2012-13.

Meantime a Commonwealth Bank report out today shows the ACT has overtaken WA as the
nation's best-performing economy.

But it says WA has good prospects due to Asia's demand for its resources.
