A motorist who drove his Land Rover over a restricted byway was fined by High Peak Magistrates.
Daniel Jacob Pickman, 26, was seen by a resident to drive on Byway 43, off Laneside Road in Rowarth, back in February.
Becky Mahon, prosecuting, said in 2006 a public inquiry had been held and it was later determined that the route should be used by walkers, horse riders and those using non-motorised forms of transport such as bicycles.
The move extinguished public rights of way for mechanically propelled vehicles over the route.
"Anyone aggrieved by the inspector's decision could have applied for a judicial review. No such application was made," said …
