FED: New Oz scholarship scheme for US students
CANBERRA, Feb 25 AAP - Young American students will be encouraged to study in Australia to
learn there is more here than kangaroos and beaches, federal Education Minister David Kemp
said today.
Dr Kemp, in Washington for a major OECD youth conference, said while many older Americans
knew Australia from war postings, the younger generation knew the country only from movies.
He announced a new scholarship program, under which 25 universities were offering more than
60 scholarships - some including a living allowance - for US postgraduate students to …
