eMaths zone for teachers.(Cactus)

I was sent three review sets (Years 8, 9 and 10) of the new Maths Zone series of textbooks from Heinemann and their companion eMaths Zone CD-ROMs which are available in student and teacher versions. In the previous journal we sampled the Year 10 Trigonometry section of the student CD and now we will look at the corresponding sections of the teacher CD.

The teacher disks cost $198 for each year level and each one includes all of the information on the corresponding student disk, some useful worksheet generating software and many support documents like those described below.

I was unable to mount the Year 10 Teacher CD on my machine. When using another machine the disk mounted but needed timely intervention of the Task Manager to fully launch the Macromedia file. Eventually I used a Macintosh, fitted with a dual-layer DVD burner, which could read the disk enough to make a complete copy (a backup is permitted). The copy then worked with Windows machines.
